  • Certain research mentions that this plant may neutralize certain effects of chemotherapy.
  • May deactivate CYP3A4, a hepatic enzyme which metabolizes a wide range of medication.
  • The action of the vaginal cream Econazole may be attenuated by echinacea.
  • Neoral / Prograf: Avoid use before and after organ transplant if cyclosporine Neoral Sandimmune or tacrolimus (Prograf) is prescribed to prevent organ rejection.
  • May increase the effects of anabolic steroids / metroexaste (anticancer), hismanal (anti-histaminic), nifidipine (Adalat, Procardia), captopril (Capoten) used to treat hypertension and Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Take in a little water at the first signs of cold or upper respiratory tract infections:

  • 2-4 years: 10 drops 3-4 times daily
  • 5-9 years: 12 drops 4-5 times daily
  • 10-14 years: 15 drops 6-8 times daily
  • 15 years and adults: 30 drops 6-8 times daily gargle and swallow.
